Thai-Style Pork Ribs and Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients you need:

  • 400 g. Pork spare ribs
  • 1 kg. cabbage
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mushroom sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground white pepper
  • 1 cube Knorr shiitake mushroom stock cube
  • 1.5 L. water

Start by gathering all the essential ingredients you’ll need to make Thai-style pork ribs and cabbage soup.

Place a medium pot over medium-high heat. Add the spare ribs and pour in enough water to cover them.

Boil the ribs for about 10 minutes until dark brown bubbles appear. Then remove the pot from the heat, discard the water, and refill with fresh water to boil.

Add about 1 liter of water, then simmer the pork bones until tender, approximately 30 minutes.

When the ribs are ready, heat a medium pan to grill the cabbage and garlic. Grill the cabbage until it develops a smoky aroma and turns brown on both sides.

Transfer the grilled cabbage and garlic to the pot with the ribs. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a shiitake mushroom stock cube.

Cover the pot and let everything simmer until the cabbage becomes tender and releases its flavors into the broth. If you prefer the cabbage to stay a bit crunchy, simmer it for just about 10 minutes.
