Homemade Wonton Soup Recipe

Ingredients you need:

  • 200 g. Ground pork
  • 20 egg wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2-3 cilantro roots
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 chicken broth cube ( for soup)
  • 2 cup water ( for soup )
  • 100 g. Cabbage ( for soup)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic and cilantro from food processor ( for soup)
  • Fish ball , shrimp ball ( optional)
  • Bok choy

Gather all the necessary ingredients.

Using a food processor, combine garlic cloves and cilantro roots until well mixed.

Blend garlic and cilantro root in a food processor, then mix the resulting paste with ground pork along with soy sauce, sesame oil, and ground pepper. Ensure that everything is well blended.

To fill the wonton, take one teaspoon of the ground pork mixture and place it in the center of each wrapper. Then, wet the edges of the wrapper using your finger and fold all four corners up and over the filling. Press down gently to seal the wonton.

To prepare the soup, start by placing a chicken broth cube into a soup pot with water on medium-high heat. Then add 1 tablespoon of garlic and cilantro root from the food processor, soy sauce, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the cabbage is cooked.

Let the chicken broth cube infuse into the soup. Additionally, if you have shrimp balls or fish balls, you can add them to the soup as well.

To cook the wontons, first bring a large pot of water to boil. Once the water is boiling, carefully add the wontons and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wontons from the pot and drain the water well. Transfer the cooked wontons to a serving bowl.
