Thai Style Grilled Pork Skewers Recipe (Moo-Yang)

Ingredients you need:

  • 1 KG. pork shoulder
  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro leave and root (minced)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Tbs. Soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs. Oyster sauce
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1Tsp. Ground white pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut milk
  • 1 Tbs. Fish sauce
  • 1 Tbs. coconut palm sugar

In a small bowl, combine clove garlic, cilantro leaves and root, fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt palm sugar ground white pepper, and coconut milk.

Sliced pork in bite-size pieces about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide.

Combine pork and marinated in a large bowl, mix well, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or in rush hour for at least 2 hours.

Skewer the pork, push the meat tightly and make sure the meat is tightly bunched together. Leaving the skewers about 2 inches at the bottom for the handle.

Slowly grill the skewers over charcoal for 15-20 minutes. For me, I’m living in an apartment so I can not grill with charcoal. I used an air fryer instead. So you cook the pork skewer in the air fryer for 10 minutes, set the air fryer 200 degrees for the first 5 minutes, and then flipping them over after 5 minutes.
