Thai-Style Bean Sprouts Stir Fry (Pad Tua Ngok) Recipe

Looking for something easy and healthy to make at home? How about a bean sprout dish! I know, I know, it sounds boring, but what if I told you that bean sprout dishes don’t have to be tasteless and dull?

Here’s a Thai-inspired bean sprout stir-fry (Pad Tua Ngok in Thai) recipe I came up with to fuse the richness of Thai flavors into the classic bean sprout stir-fry!

With their tender yet crispy texture, we Thais often enjoy bean sprouts with Guay Teaw, a variety of noodle dishes found all over Thailand. For this recipe, however, we won’t be using noodles. Instead, we’ll cook it using just five ingredients: bean sprouts, fresh garlic, mushroom sauce, soy sauce, and sugar.

You can also add protein, like minced pork, minced chicken, or seafood, to the mix if you wish. Then, simply sprinkle it with green onion and ground pepper for extra flavor. We're all about adaptation and experimentation here, so go for it! 😊

If you want to make it vegetarian, you can swap the meat for tofu, cut into cubes, to add some texture to the dish. Plus, it’s always healthier to include nutrient-rich foods like tofu! 😉

Now, let’s get cooking!
