This Spicy Thai Tom Yum Seafood pasta is a delicious fusion of Thai and Italian flavors. The spicy, sour, and sweet flavors of lemongrass, lime leaves, and tom yum chili paste are perfectly balanced with a creamy cooking cream sauce.
It's a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for a special occasion or a casual dinner at home. Simply combine the ingredients in a pot and cook until the pasta is tender and the seafood is cooked through. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs and enjoy!
To make this recipe, you are going to need:
- Shrimps and clams as many as you like
- Pasta
- 1 stalk bottom half lemongrass
- 3 kaffir lime leaves
- Half an onion ( finely chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves ( finely minced)
- 70 g. Thai soup tom yum with red chilies and tamarind ( I used “De Siam” product)
- 100 g. Cooking cream
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make Spicy Thai Tom Yum Seafood Pasta:
1 Bring a pot to boil pasta, Drop your pasta into the boiling water and add some salt. (I recommended you set the timer 1 minute less than the package says).
2 Bring a small pot with boiling water and add some salt. Boil the clams for 5-10 minutes until the steamer clam shells are wide open.
3 In a pan, add some butter or olive oil and sear the shrimp until it cooks but is not overcooked.
4 Add garlic, onion, lemongrass, and kaffir lime. Stir all ingredients until it is fragrant.
5 Add Thai soup Tom yum chilies paste and mushroom. Stir them together until the sauce is thickened.
6 Add the clams, fish sauce, and sugar and stir them well together. If it is too dry, you can add boiling water from boiling clams.
7 Add cooking cream and stir for a minute.
8 Use the tong and add the pasta and low the heat. Add some pasta boiling if you need more liquid or you can also make it as dry as you like.
9 Off the heat and add lime juice. Serve and enjoy!
