To make this recipe, you are going to need:
- ½ cup Sago pearl
- 1 Cantaloupe / Melon
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 5 tbsp. Sugar
- ¼ tsp. Salt
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make Sago Pearls with Cantaloupe Coconut Milk:
1 Wash sago pearls until water is clear.
2 Heat up the pot to boil water and pour sago pearls into the boiling water. Reduce the heat to medium and keep whisking until you see a tiny white dot in the center of the pearls. Turn off the heat. Drain the water off very well and let the sago pearls cool down for 10 minutes.
3 Heat up the pot to combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Then remove from heat. Let’s cool at room temperature.
4 Cut the cantaloupe into a bite or use an ice cream baller to scoop out balls of cantaloupe.
5 Scoop the remaining cantaloupe and place it in a blender. Add the combined coconut milk and blend until it is smooth.
6 Pour coconut milk mixture into a big bowl and add sago pearls and stir them.
7 Add cantaloupe bites, stir them and chill in the refrigerator at least for 2 hours before serving
